Charlotte Banning Winckler graduated from the College of Charleston in 2018 with a BS in Business Administration and a Concentration in Marketing. After working in advertising for a year, Charlotte entered law school at Charleston School of Law where she graduated magna cum laude, in May 2022. She clerked for the Lucey Law Firm while attending law school and joined the firm as an attorney upon graduation.

During law school, Charlotte served as Editor in Chief of the Charleston Law Review and was published in the journal in 2022. She was awarded the Presidential Honors Scholarship and received CALI Awards for Legal Writing and Research, Sales, and Constitutional Law I & II. In 2020, she interned for the Honorable Marvin H. Dukes, III as part of the Judicial Observation Experience Program. Charlotte was a pupil member of the James L. Petigru American Inn of Court. She was also a member of the Moot Court Board and was a competitor in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition in 2021. Charlotte was sworn in as a member of the South Carolina Bar in the Fall of 2022.
